Prepare Your Hypnosis Session
This article will discuss five steps to prepare for your hypnosis session it will examine each one and will explain why each step will make your experience both more helpful and enjoyable.
The five steps are: first, to be opened to a new experience, second, except the possibility of success, third ask any questions that you want to ask, four, wear loose clothes, and five make. Sure to avoid caffeine.
First, let’s talk about being open to a new experience. Even if you have been hypnotized by a hypnotist before, all relationships are different and rapport is important to your success. If you have had a past bad experience, it could be a mismatch between you and the hypnotherapist. Different personality types are more comfortable with people of either their type or an opposite type that fills a need. I have often worked with people who came in skeptical because it did not work with another hypnotherapist and they did fine with me. This does not mean that the other therapist was less skilled, but the relationship was not working.
Next, be opened to the possibility of success. Imagine your success and pretend, at least for this experience that success is possible. As long as you can work to envision your success, you can achieve it. Many of us have ambivalent feelings some of them are feelings of skepticism and others are feelings of belief. Give voice to the feelings of belief so that you can relax and get the most out of the experience. If you are one hundred percent skeptical, then hypnosis is not for you.
Third, ask any questions that you would like to ask. Every question is respected by most hypnotherapists. It is part of rapport building. I have never heard a stupid question. When your questions are answered, you will be more comfortable.
Four, wear loose clothing. If clothes are too tight, it will be difficult for you to relax. You need to first relax in order to go deeper into a hypnotic state. The more comfortable that you can be, the easier it will be for you to be hypnotized and to experience success reaching your goal.
Finally, staying away from caffeine is important. Caffeine is a stimulant. Stimulants speed you up, making it difficult to relax and to be hypnotized.
